Hummingbirds are very territorial as this video shows. These birds are a mixture of male and female broad-tailed and rufous varieties who show up in large numbers at my feeder in August as they fly south for the winter. They are very entertaining.
Below is a video of how we catch the birds for the Hummingbird bander to weigh, sex, and identify which hummers are in our area each year.
